Individual education is important to the world in general, because
it’s the key of living a successful life. Education means gaining knowledge,
and it’s important because it keeps us aware of what is going on in our surroundings.
Without education, many of us would not know how to do certain things. Although
we question a lot “how is this math problem actually going to help me in life?”
it will help, eventually. (Like when you’re sitting in class counting the
minutes until class is over) The purpose of having an education and going to
school is to take what we know, and to go beyond what we believe we are capable
of. For example, without education and knowledge, Thomas Edison would have
never invented the light bulb. Education is also beneficial to communities
everywhere, because it’s a form of communicating with the world. In school we
learn to read, write, and talk properly, and that is how we are able to understand
each other. In agreement with John Green, I believe that education is not about
YOU. Education is beneficial to all people. As my 8th grade teacher
once said, “You are the future.” All of us in school will one day be the future
doctor, teacher, or even president. Education is meant to be passed down because
generations get old, therefore the time will come when we all replace the roles
of our elders. With my education, I hope to keep on reading all the books left
to read at library shelves. For the future, I hope to gain expertise artistically.
Education will help me achieve this because it will help develop my skills. In
school we learn to interact with others, and that helps artistically, because
it helps you to be open-minded, and accept criticism.

If Victor would have welcomed his creation instead of
running away from it, the plot would have played out differently. I believe
that Victor would have to face more problems because he’d be faced with far
more responsibilities. Technically as the creator of the ‘monster,’ Victor
would have to act like a father. He’d face all the responsibilities that come
within being a parent. He’d have to worry about feeding the creature and giving
it shelter. Victor would have to mentor the monster, instead of the monster having
to learn things on its own, like he did. Not only that, but Victor would also
have to try to humanize the monster, which would be impossible to do so. If Victor
were to welcome the monster, he would probably have to live his life hiding. So
far into the story, Frankenstein lives hiding because everyone is scared of
him. Frankenstein is also described as a hideous creature because he does not
look, nor is, human. They see him and immediately think of danger, and they
even try to harm him. If Victor were to welcome him he’d have to keep Frankenstein
safe, and that would be difficult since he is big in size. Victor would get
criticized for creating the monster, and people would probably try to kill him
as well. In my opinion, Victor would put his life in danger if he were to
welcome Frankenstein, but it could also do him good, since he’d have a
companion and would not have to deal with the feeling of loneliness.

I believe that parents should not be held responsible for
their children’s actions. However, I do believe that parents are the ones that
set the example to their children. When children are small, they adjust to the
way they are raised; their habits are adapted from living with their parents. Parents
are responsible for taking care of their children, and raising them, but they
should not be held responsible for their children’s mistakes. Parents are not
the only ones who influence a kid’s life. Their actions are also done by being
influenced by their peers. If the child decides to do drugs, or to commit a
crime, the parent should not have to serve their
jail time. A parent is only supposed to teach their child good morals. Parents
are to make clear the good from the wrong, and teach them to simply be a good
person. When a child is young, it follows the footsteps of the parent, because
a child is not exposed to the reality of life, and the parent’s actions is all
that the child has seen. As the child gets older, no one is accountable for the
child’s actions except for the child itself. Part of growing up is learning to
make your own choices and to accept mistakes. No matter if you hang out with
the wrong crowd, you are your own choice maker. I believe that if you have the
guts to do something that you know is completely stupid, you should be ‘man’
enough to own up to it.
